John Cooper was born on October 25, 1963 in Sandusky, Ohio and passed on May 1, 2024 in Bradenton, Florida. His parents, who have preceded him in death, were Janis and Earl Cooper. He is also preceded in death by his son David Cooper, his birth father, Sam Lonsbury, a brother, Jeffery Cooper and sister-in- law Shirley Cooper. John is survived by his birth mom, Linda Lonsbury, three brothers Jim (Joyce) Cooper, Jay (Tonia) Cooper, Mark (Patty) Lonsbury, and a sister Julie (Andy) Richards. John leaves behind the love of his life, Audrey Walker and her two grown children, Lindsay and Jonathan Walker. John is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
John moved to Florida as a young adult and established a life for himself there. He worked several jobs to support himself and eventually became a painter. He met and married Sue, and they gave birth to their son, David, who was the light of their lives. John was always one to do things "his way" and was fiercely independent. When described by his friends, the most common words used were "good, funny, humble and kind." He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
